What to Pack for Amed

Light linen, a sarong for the temples and reef-safe sunscreen: a short list for a relaxed week on the coast.
Amed is relaxed and warm all year, so pack light. Here is what we suggest bringing, and what you can leave at home.
Bring
Light linen and cotton, a hat and sunglasses, and comfortable sandals for the black-sand beaches. A light layer is useful for early mornings and evening boat trips.
For the temples
Shoulders and knees should be covered. A sarong and a temple sash are required at most temples; we lend both at the front desk.
For the sea
Reef-safe sunscreen helps protect the coral you will be swimming over. A rash vest is useful for longer snorkels.
Leave at home
Beach towels, snorkel masks, hair dryers and adapters are all in your room or at the beach house. Umbrellas too, for the green season.
“Pack light, bring a sarong and leave room for the things you'll find at the market.”
