When to Visit East Bali

There is no bad time to come to Amed, but each season feels a little different.

April to June

Our favourite months. The rains have ended, the rice terraces are still green and the sea is calm and clear. Crowds are small and rates are lower than in high summer.

July and August

The driest and busiest weeks. Expect sunny days, cool evenings and the best visibility on the reef. Book early if you are travelling in these months.

September and October

Still dry and warm, with the summer crowds gone. A very good time for sunrise walks and temple visits.

November to March

The green season. Short, heavy showers usually arrive in the afternoon, leaving the mornings bright. The garden is at its most lush and the island is quiet. We think it is underrated.

Whenever you come, the water stays warm all year, between 27 and 29°C.
