A Slow Afternoon at the Spa

A Balinese massage, a warm boreh scrub and a flower bath: how we suggest spending three unhurried hours.

The spa sits at the quiet end of the garden, in three open pavilions surrounded by frangipani. There is no rush here, and we plan every treatment to leave time before and after.

Arrive early

Come twenty minutes before your booking. We serve warm ginger tea, and you can rest on the daybeds while the pavilion is prepared.

Balinese massage

Long, slow strokes with gentle pressure and warm coconut oil. It is the best place to start if you have just arrived after a long flight.

Boreh scrub

A traditional village remedy of rice, ginger, clove and cinnamon, ground by hand. It warms the skin and is lovely after a day in the sea.

The flower bath

We finish in a stone tub filled with warm water and petals from the garden. Stay as long as you like; the next guest is never booked straight after you.

Spa hours are 9 am to 8 pm. Reserve through the front desk or reply to your pre-arrival email.

“An afternoon at the spa should feel like the day has quietly let go of you.”
