About the Experience
Out on the boat at first light, when the water is clearest and the reef in front of Amed is wide awake.
The reef starts a few minutes from the resort beach. We head out early on a traditional jukung, when the sea is flat and visibility is at its best.
Your guide takes you to two sites: a shallow coral garden full of reef fish, and the small Japanese wreck just off the shore. Masks, fins and reef-safe sunscreen are provided.
Back on the boat there is fresh fruit and water, and we are home in time for breakfast.
