About the Experience
Out on a jukung with the fishermen of Amed at first light, back by mid-morning with the catch for lunch.
Before sunrise the fishermen of Amed push their jukung boats down the black sand and sail out beyond the reef. You go with them.
They show you how they read the water, set hand lines and bring in the catch the way their fathers did. It is quiet, simple and unlike anything else you will do on holiday.
Back on the beach our chef grills the fish you caught for lunch.
