About the Venue
A terrace turned to the west, where the sun sets behind Mount Agung and the lanterns come on one by one.
The terrace faces west, which is the whole idea. Low chairs, lanterns lit one by one as it darkens, and a bar that keeps its voice down.
The list runs long on wine by the glass and short on everything else. Small plates arrive without much ceremony — olives, cured fish, cheese from the highlands, bread from the morning bake.
Most people come for an hour before dinner and stay for three.
